Changing Non-Owned Inductions

1. When you first enter into the Non-Owner Inductions option, a Select An Option window will appear:

• If you select BY NON-OWNER LOT enter the appropriate non-owner lot number at the Lot field. Enter the lot number. A Select A Non-Owner Lot window appears with a listing of all lotted items for the lot number entered by:
  • Customer ID
  • Item name
  • Available balance
  • Unit of measure (UOM)
  • Location ID
  • Status:
    • O – Open
    • P – Pending
  • COOL Identity ID

  Select Exit to exit the option or select the appropriate non-owner lot and press Enter to confirm. Proceed to Step 3.

   

Note: If there are no non-owner lots with the entered non-owner lot number, the message line displays "Non-owner lot number not found !!! Space Bar to Continue." Only open and pending non-owner lots can be accessed through this option.

• If you selected BY CUSTOMER, at the Customer field, enter the six character customer ID code.

A Non-Owned Inductions screen will appear and will display all the non-owner lots in the system for the selected customer.

• Lot – The lot numbers assigned to the non-owner inventory for the selected customer
• Lotted Item – The item name for the non-owner inventory
• Opened – The date the lot was opened/received
• Loc – The location where the non-owner inventory is stored
• Lot Balance – The current on-hand inventory balance
• Status – The status of the lot.
  • O – Open
  • P – Pending
• COOL – The COOL identity ID.

Command options will appear:

• If you select "Select Lot(F)", the system will allow you to select one of the lots in which the customer has non-owner inventory stored. Use the arrow keys to highlight the appropriate lot and press Enter to select.
• If you select Exit, the system will allow you to return to the Select An Option window.

• If you selected BY ITEM, enter the item group ID code of the item in the Item field. A Select An Item window will appear and displays all items in the item group. Select the appropriate item by highlighting it and pressing Enter to confirm your selection.

• A Select A Non-Owner Lot window will appear and display the following choices:
  • Select Exit to return to the Select An Option window.
  • Select a non-owner lot from a listing of all lots in all locations and customers of the specified item. Highlight the appropriate lot and press Enter to confirm your selection. Proceed to the next step.

2. A Select An Induction window appears and displays with the following choices EXIT, ADD NON-OWNER INDUCTION, and a listing of all inductions into this non-owned lot.

• If you select EXIT, the system will bring you back to the Select An Option window.
• If you select ADD NON-OWNER INDUCTION, the system will allow you to add a new induction into the selected non-owned lot. Upon selecting ADD NON-OWNER INDUCTION, enter the lot number, induction date, amount, and note into their corresponding fields. See Adding a Non Owned Induction for more information. Command options will appear:

Note: If the non-owned lot selected has a zero balance, the system automatically selects the Add Non-Owner Induction option, which bypasses the Select An Induction window.

3. After selecting one of the listed lots, the associated information for that induction is displayed. See Adding a Non-Owned Induction for more information. Command options will appear:

• If you select Change the system will allow you to make changes to the non-owner lot, induction date, lot amount, and note fields. The lot amount cannot be changed to an amount less than the amount on open non-owner releases.
• If you select Delete the system will allow you to delete the displayed induction from the Lot. The message line displays "WARNING: Lot will be deleted! Continue? No/Yes."
  • If you select no, the system will exit without deleting the induction.
  • If you select yes, the system will proceed in deleting the induction.
• If you select Lot(F), the system will allow you to make edits to the Status (O=open, P=pending, C=closed; new inductions cannot be added to the lot), Per LB Charge, and Free thru Date fields. If the lot status was changed to closed, the message line displays "WARNING: Closed lots cannot be reopened!!! Continue? No/Yes."
  • If you select no, the system will allow you to exit without saving your edits.
  • If you select yes, the system will allow you to update and save all of your edits.
• If you select Update, the system will update all of the changes.
• If you select Exit the system will exit the non-owner induction screen without saving any changes.
